Carbon Link is searching for a talented Project Officer (Delivery) to join our team.

Carbon Link is a rapidly growing Carbon Farming project developer with a major focus on soil carbon and agriculture. Our vision is to link landholders and environmental markets with the knowledge and capacity to regenerate landscapes by improving their soils. To do this, we are pioneering methods and technology to remove barriers for landholders and working with partner organisations to help businesses transition to regenerative farming. 

 

About the Role 

We are currently looking for a talented Project Officer to join our project delivery team, working on a large portfolio of Carbon Farming projects across Australia. 

This role is focused on project management, compliance, documentation, and administration within the Emission Reduction Fund regulatory framework. 

To be successful in this role you must be a self-starter, highly motivated and committed to our long-term mission to sequester carbon across agricultural landscapes. You will need to be a critical thinker and creative problem-solver with good attention to detail. You will need to be quick to learn, adaptable and able to balance competing priorities in an evolving market.  

You will be working with a diverse and geographically distributed team, so you will need to be an inclusive, respectful and a supportive team-player with exceptional communication skills. 

This is a full-time role based in South-East Queensland or Central Queensland and may require travel to remote project sites throughout Australia from time to time.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Registration and administration of projects under the Emissions Reduction Fund 
  • Project methodology compliance – Monitoring, Reporting and Verification 
  • Providing advice to clients and interacting with the Clean Energy Regulator on their behalf 
  • Correctly storing and maintaining project records and data, including geospatial data 
  • Contribute to the development of project delivery systems and workflows 
  • Uphold our commitment to the Carbon Market Institute code of conduct 
  • Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders 

 

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • Qualification in Environment, Science, Agriculture, or a related field 
  • 3+ years relevant industry experience 
  • Experience working in an auditing and compliance role 
  • Experience working with regulatory processes and documentation 
  • Experience developing systems and workflows 
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks with an eye for detail 
  • Demonstrated project delivery capability in a high-volume environment 
  • High proficiency with MS Office and web applications 
  • A passion for regenerative agriculture and carbon offsets 

 

Highly Desired 

  • Real experience working with carbon offset methodologies under Emissions Reduction Fund 
  • A working knowledge of soils or vegetation processes will place you ahead of the pack 
  • Basic to intermediate GIS Software (ArcGIS or QGIS)
