Throughout the first year of the partnership CarbonLink and QFF worked together closely to highlight the real opportunities soil carbon projects offer to enhance farm productivity, profitability, as well as environmental outcomes.
QFF is the united voice of agriculture in Queensland, representing the state’s agricultural peak industry bodies who collectively represent more than 13,000 farmers who produce food, fibre, and foliage across Queensland. Through policy leadership and industry‑wide collaboration, QFF works to address the key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of Queensland agriculture.
As QFF’s preferred provider for soil carbon projects, CarbonLink brings world‑leading expertise to the partnership. A pioneer in Australian soil carbon, CarbonLink’s work is backed by cutting‑edge research and development, advanced measurement technologies, and a dedicated team of Carbon Farming Advisors, soil scientists, GIS technicians, and project specialists. Together, they help producers improve soil health, increase landscape resilience, and unlock new opportunities through the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) market.
The continued partnership will focus on supporting the uptake of soil carbon projects across Queensland, improving access to credible, science‑based information, and ensuring landholders are equipped with the tools they need to make informed decisions about carbon farming and sustainable land management.
A key component of the partnership includes joint engagement activities to help farmers better understand carbon policy developments, market trends, and the practical steps involved in undertaking a soil carbon project.
CarbonLink and QFF will also continue to advocate for greater government funding opportunities to assist landholders entering the ACCU market, improving access to climate adaptation programs, and tax settings that benefit producers contributing to nature-positive solutions.
